Dr. Ainsley Rouse appointed as Academic Integrity Senior Manager

The Provost’s Office is pleased to announce the one-year appointment of Dr. Ainsley Rouse as Academic Integrity Senior Manager, effective March 15, 2021. Dr. Rouse will be responsible for leading the work on:

  • Supporting the Office of the Provost and the Vice-President Academic in reviewing the current processes and procedures across the Vancouver campus on academic integrity;
  • Identifying issues, advising on strategy options and providing recommendations to UBC on an approach and support to academic integrity; and
  • Advising senior administration in the Provost’s office, as well as other senior university leadership (vice-presidents, Faculty leadership, faculty members and student leaders)

Dr. Rouse has worked in the higher education sector as a project manager at the University of Geneva and the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where she led various academic programs and cross-university initiatives. She has worked closely with faculty and senior administrators on program development and as a consultant with an executive search firm specializing in higher education. She was an instructor in French at Princeton University while completing her PhD in modernist book history and has been involved with student engagement throughout her career. Dr. Rouse holds a PhD from Princeton University, a Master’s degree from the Université de Montréal, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.
