Celebrate Learning Week returns April 30–May 6, 2018
From April 30 to May 6 we invite you to join us at Celebrate Learning Week 2018.
Now in its tenth year, Celebrate Learning Week (https://celebratelearning.ubc.ca/) is an annual week-long showcase of teaching and learning opportunities at UBC Vancouver. The theme of this year’s showcase is transformative learning, a core area of strategic focus at UBC.

On April 9 at 10:00am, UBC will mark the formal opening of the Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre, on our Vancouver campus. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged (where possible) to attend or watch the live webcast.
Planning Canada’s Biggest Conference: An interview with Laura Moss
In June 2019, some 10,000 people will flock to UBC to take part in Canada’s biggest academic gathering. The annual Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences – more commonly known as “Congress” – brings together scholars, policy-makers and activists to build partnerships, and to share cutting-edge ideas on topics like censorship, the environment, and migration. The University’s theme for Congress 2019 is “Circles of Conversation” which will showcase creative critical engagements in literature, visual arts, and music and focus on scholarly relations with Indigenous communities.
