Regional Offices

UBC has international offices in Hong Kong and India.

The overall mandate of the two offices is to:

  • advance the interests and strengthen the reputation of UBC;
  • promote research partnerships to foster collaboration with research institutes and universities; and
  • support efforts to engage alumni and donors.

Within this broad mandate, each office engages in activities most relevant to their region.

Asia Pacific Regional Office

The UBC Asia Pacific Office (APRO) has been active since 2005 and was UBC’s first office abroad. Located in Hong Kong, the office includes staff dedicated to development and alumni engagement and student recruitment.

Contact APRO if you:

  • want to connect with UBC alumni in the region
  • are interested in opportunities to support UBC
  • live in the region and are interested in attending UBC
  • want to know more about and get involved in the Vancouver Summer Program
  • are UBC faculty or staff interested in recruiting students from the region
  • are interested in developing strategic partnerships between UBC and peer universities in the region

India Liaison Office

The UBC India Liaison Office is located in New Delhi, India. 

Contact the India Liaison Office if you:

  • are organizing a Canadian mission in India and are interested in engaging with UBC
  • represent a university, business, NGO, or government entity interested in connecting with UBC
  • are interested in having a UBC representative attend an event or meeting
  • are a UBC alumnus in the region interested in networking with UBC and fellow alumni
  • live in the region and are interested in attending UBC
  • are a partner institution of IC-IMPACTS or would like to learn more about this initiative
