In 2026, the UBC H5P Symposium will be exploring the theme: Designing the Future of Interactive Learning: H5P, OER, and GenAI. This two-day online H5P Symposium introduces H5P as a free open-source HTML tool, that can be used to create flexible, interactive practice questions, as well as opportunities for interactive content delivery for instructors.
This symposium includes a keynote from Richard E. Mayer (Professor of Psychology, UC Santa Barbara), where he will be sharing 14 evidence-based principles for how to design effective instructional videos, along with a demo session, panel, lightning talk and more.
