A message from Andrew Szeri, Provost and Vice-President, Academic, UBC Vancouver

UBC is embarking on a search for a new Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President Academic Affairs to succeed Dr. Eric Eich, who completes his term at the end of June 2020.

The Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President Academic Affairs oversees offices and initiatives related to academic strategy and policy, Indigenous engagement and strategy, and faculty affairs and relations. The successful candidate will also develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, students, and external partners to facilitate the success of the Office of the Provost and VP, Academic.

The appointment is for a five-year term and is renewable for a second term. In addition to possessing outstanding academic credentials, candidates are required to hold the rank of Professor or Professor of Teaching at UBC Vancouver.

If you know of any faculty in your area of the university who you think would be a good fit for this role, I would appreciate your support in sharing this opportunity with them and encouraging them to apply. The call for applications will remain open until the position is filled.

Full details of the position and how to apply can be found at https://academic.ubc.ca/vice-provost-avp_academic-affairs.
