Call for nominations for 2025 West Coast Teaching Excellence Award
We are pleased to announce the call for nominations for the 2025 West Coast Teaching Excellence Awards at the UBC Vancouver campus. The internal UBC nomination deadline is November 28, 2024, with the final deadline for submissions being February 28, 2025.
UBC is seeking self-nominations of faculty members or teaching teams for the West Coast Teaching Excellence Award (WCTEA). The WCTEA recognizes excellence in postsecondary teaching over a number of years, primarily at the undergraduate level.
Nominees for the WCTEA will be characterized by a proven commitment to enhanced student engagement and learning, a reflective and intentional approach to teaching practices, and dedication to teaching improvement, including successful implementation of any of the 94 Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.
UBC Vancouver will select from self-nominees to put forward up to two nominees for this regional award. The internal submission deadline is November 29, at 11:59pm (extended). Please visit https://academic.ubc.ca/awards-funding/award-opportunities/teaching-awards/west-coast-teaching-excellence-awards to see the full criteria and timelines.
This award represents an opportunity to recognize the teaching excellence of UBC’s dedicated faculty. We encourage you to share this with your colleagues so we can ensure our community is recognized and celebrated.
