UBC discovering new coronavirus species by re-analyzing all public RNA sequencing data

June 16, 2020

Expanding the known repertoire of coronaviruses will not only help determine the origins of COVID-19, it can help prevent another outbreak.

Learn how UBC’s CIC – a public-private collaboration between UBC and Amazon – is working to improve understanding of COVID-19, by identifying all known coronavirus species through re-analyzing 5,750,000 GB of public RNA sequencing data.
