UBC's President’s Excellence Chairs are part of an innovative research program that will advance cutting-edge research to solve society’s most urgent challenges.

The President’s Excellence Chairs were created for exceptional individuals who will help advance research in Precision OncologyBrain Health, Biodiversity StudiesForest Bio-Products and Healthy Aging. Investing in their remarkable intellect and talent will ensure they are better equipped to solve society’s most urgent challenges.

The university is delighted to welcome Dr. Claire Kremen as the UBC President’s Excellence Chair in Biodiversity Studies, and Dr. Emily Cranston as the UBC President’s Excellence Chair in Forest Bio-products.
