Invitation to join the Teaching Development Program for new faculty

April 29, 2019

Faculty who are either new to UBC and/or new to teaching, are now invited to register for a Teaching Development Program (TDP).

Launching in August, this new 10-month program is designed and facilitated by the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT). It is intended to support faculty through their first year of teaching at the university, by building their teaching skills as well as helping them develop a sense of community within UBC’s teaching and learning networks. It will be delivered through a combination of face-to-face sessions and an online forum, and will run from August until May, every year.

We encourage you to invite new faculty hired into your department to register for the program. Applications for the 2019/2020 program will be reviewed starting May 1, but registrations will continue to be accepted until August 1.

For more information on this program, including how to register, please visit CTLT's website.

Should you have any questions, please contact kele fleming, CTLT’s Associate Director for Teaching and Learning Professional Development, at kele.fleming@ubc.ca or 604-822-9287.
