Rella Ng will join UBC in November as the new Associate Vice-President, Enrolment Services and Registrar.
Ms. Ng is currently the Registrar at Douglas College. Prior to that, she served as Associate Registrar, Information, Records & Registration Services at Simon Fraser University. She also previously held several leadership roles within Enrolment Services at UBC. Ms. Ng is an experienced higher education professional with over 20 years of extensive and progressive experience in service, student enrolment management, policy development and implementation, and student information systems management. She will start in her new role at UBC on November 15, 2022.
Ms. Ng completed her Bachelor of Arts at UBC, Master of Public Administration at the University of Victoria, and is enrolled in the Doctor of Education program at Western University. She also holds certificates in strategic leadership, college and university administration, project management and change management.
In addition to welcoming Ms. Ng, we would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Kate Ross for her steadfast leadership as Associate Vice-President, Enrolment Services and Registrar. Over the past nine years, Enrolment Services has seen a renewed, student-centred service model and increased opportunities for the participation of equity-deserving student populations. Dr. Ross has also played an instrumental leadership role in the Integrated Renewal Program as a Co-Lead Program sponsor.
